    our first bannock

    Made ash cakes out of my usual mix, (pl. flour, sugar and a bit of baking soda), we mixed blackberries into the mixture shaped little scones and chucked them on the coals for 5 minutes (forgot the pan) ,mmmmm Lovely.

    Midges.

    Somebody once told me that eating Ribwort or plantain seeds gives a boost of Vitamin b sufficient to repel 'em. Don't know if it works 'cos I got bored of eating 'em after a while.

    Silly games we played as kids

    Space invaders, it involved several kids running up and down a lawn making the ugh-ugh space invaders noise, then the defender throwing clumps of soil from the garden trying to hit them before they got near. Also when the fields had been plowed two teams making barracades out of bales...

    have you any idea where can I find one? Tried a Tiso website but they didn't have any of there own bags.

    What other hobbies do you practice other than bushcraft

    mainly eating, but also cooking (complements the eating), martial arts, outdoorsy stuff (camping, walking etc.), photography, art/ craft, reading, good lovin' (though it's more of a lifestyle.)

    First bowdrill fire!

    I just made my first fire using a bowdrill! Several hours of trying and a slight burn to the cheek from over-zealous puffing on the tinder bundle and there it was in all it's furious beauty! Well maybe not furious but I'm a bit over excited!
