My current Silva Type 4 has developed a bubble and the degrees markings are rubbing off the bezel. I would happily replace it with the same, but it seems Silva are now made in China and reviews suggest that quality is not what it used to be. I decided to treat myself to a Suunto M3 G. Very nice...

I bought a couple of Devold Nansen button neck sweaters last winter. Worn with a long sleeved t-shirt underneath, they are fantastically warm. Very good quality.

I have a flat cap, and wear it throughout autumn. It's great; warm enough, with a practical peak - long enough to shade the eyes, but short enough that I can use binoculars easily or aim a rifle. I live in Czech Republic, and our winters can be quite cold, so then I switch to a Devold Nansen...
