    Your picture of the day...

Cheers, it’s a spectacular view, from the hill behind me are views right over to the Bristol Channel. I’m somewhere between Wells and Shepton Mallet, a place called Croscombe, on a lovely little campsite.

    Walking sticks and staffs

Seems to me that sticks actually made with walking in mind are always longer and grip height is judged by up to the elbow with the lower arm held at a right angle. Honestly a far more useful length for getting up of a seat, feeling the ground ahead if going downhill, feeling out rocks and depth...

    Thingymyjig - Help please

Had exactly the same problem with a similar ‘joiner’, mine was to reattach an antler handle to a walking stick. Couldn’t for the life of me think what it might be called, so I ended up on an extensive search of walking stick supplies, which was equally vague. This meme was offered :D

    Bell tent stove

If it’s just a flap and there’s no proper stove jack fitted then it’s likely for power. You need a proper insulated fitting to keep the canvas away from the pipe. Plus, it’s extremely unlikely a glamping tent would ever be fitted with a wood burning stove.
