As handy as the RITR pens seem, I can't fault the all weather writing instruments I get from Ikea.

They do one similar to the Bullet, think it even has a Spacepen insert in it. Poka make them. Check HH, saw them on sale there once.

@Stew, same for me, activity keeps me more than warm enough. I thought it might be a way to save bulk over my jacket on multi day trips for when the walking's done and the chilling starts.
