    Ash bow

... have you followed the one summer ring rule for the front of the bow as you scrape it with the draw knife? (I think back of the bow is the surface fasing you as you shoot it and front of bow is the surface facing the target correct me if I am wrong)

    DIY Solar Oven

Nice one yet I suppose it will be quite difficult in cleaning this tubed glass container. It shows to be very efficient though. Very difficult to make something like this as a DIY project as tha main parts of the coocking chamber have to be bought as they are.

    Hazel bow

Yes you should do that before choosing your arrows. If you buy them the archery store must know poundage@draw.length to give you the appropriate shafts and arrow heads. Now if you make them ... I do not know how you can make them so that they fit your bow. I suppose via trial and error.

This is a small video on trying to make tongs the way Brian Brazeal did on his videos at his youtube site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqI1AnrX8nw It came to be much more difficult than I expected. Much more difficult for me came to be the planishing at the middle of the rod as the...

    DIY Solar Oven

Hello! This is my try to make a Solar Oven from Stainless Steel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzPxc-gMjs The angle of the reflectors came to be more than I expected (and designed) and so the temperature did not rise as much as I wanted. From other videos on the net I hoped that...

    Making a Brake Drum Forge

You welcome! Yet note that one might have to make the air feeding pipes smaller in diameter. Those ones are 3" and if I would do that again I would choose 2". The cup and the curly aluminium additions are there to make smaller the end air flow to the coal and makes the whole construction more...

    Self Bow making

@bobnewboy thank you for the information! Yes I did look it up and saw some pictures. Yesterday I did go to the archery lesson yet I did not check the bow (I forgot to say the truth, and the lessons are done with the recurved Olympic ones). I will check it next time. I suspect that there...
