so Are you suggesting to go with the HH hammock with the 4 season upgrade? which cost around 250 US or just improvise with the DD?

from what ive seen there is not much in the US on survival schools!! guess we are to tech to bother!!

Im also thinking about getting a hammock as well and am looking at the HH and the DD hammocks. i like the hh hammocks for the 4 season ability with the upgrade. But i like the DD for the price and simplicity. would like any opinion also

Agree with you on that one thats one of the reasons why i like alcohol stoves. You dont need a fire ring or pit. Plus the fuel is easy to carry and is cheap and easy to find. It doesnt smoke or smell and it doesnt give away your site.
