After 10 yrs service one of my Aluminium tent poles sheared, does anybody know a company that repairs or makes poles to spec??
The original manufacturer doesn't seem to be much help.
Have seen a couple of repair kits to make a pole myself, but that sounds like hard work. Anyboy done this...
On the onion smell don't know if you did it down there but growing up we used to put a skinned halved onion on a saucer on the window-sill. It was used to keep flies at bay though wouldn't work on onion flies I suppose.
As soon as you get into the latin names, some wise-guy will inevitably tell you that your reference book is out of date, and the name has now changed to something even more incomprehensible than the one you thought it was. You can't win.
Thanks for the tutorial ole hoss, I've been wanting to try this for a while and now I have the blueprint. We have a lot of white ash growing here in Nebraska and I make trips up to South Dakota quite often and they have ash there as well so my supply is good. Thanks again and keep it up.
