You'll find the DD hammocks are NOT designed to be set-up using the 30 degree angle scenario. These hammocks are designed to be set-up flat and fairly tight...not too tight though...which you seem to have done in your pictures. This also means you shouldn't need to lie on the diagonal to lie...
