    Thanks guys. Yeah, the had drill looks interesting, I will have to research into it a bit first I think. And sure if we ever get a summer with some sun over in these parts, I can try the magnifying glass again :)

    Hi, I managed to light my first fire yesterday. I used a firesteel and cotton wool to get the flame and then kept it going by making some feather sticks out of bits of planking that I split. Next time I will have to try it with some proper wood from the ground or somewhere else :) I lit...
