hi im looking for a small torch to replace my maglite solitare with. i find the solitare is only useful if it is pitch black. i carry it in a pouch with my SAK and so am looking for something around the same size. im looking to spend around £20 any ideas? thanks

I have tried a couple of things and it has got lighter but i think it will have to be a new mat to cover it. :/ unfortunately it has also got bigger with all the cleaning so defo a something big :)

is there any advantage to soaking it in a bowl of oil rather than dabbing it on?

im not sure weather this has come up before but i was wondering what is the best oil to finish off birch with?. im looking for something that brings out the grain without it changing the colour of the wood too much. it doesnt really matter if its toxic or not as the spoon wont be used for eating...

hey everyone! Just wondering if anybody had any ideas on a simple project for me to try as I've kind of run out of ideas. I've already made a few spoons and a canoe using birch but i need some inspiration for a new project. Any ideas? Thanks
