    Any one snow camping?

Yes, last week. Also my first time using a tarp alongside my bivvy, and that made it the worst night ever lol (first time ever using a tarp and it wasn't secured properly, so the wind constantly made it rise up and down) Rest of the images: https://imgur.com/a/1LqXeAS

Searching for an insulated sleeping mat (NOT inflatable!)

My issue here is that I always have a Bundeswehr foldable mat under my bivvy, which has so far held up against everything, even when sleeping directly on brambles. There are never any sharp objects in my bivvy, yet two different inflatable sleeping mats that I tried have all failed sooner or...

Searching for an insulated sleeping mat (NOT inflatable!)

I've actually seen this already a while ago, but didn't think it actually has a decent R-value lol. Might pick it up. Weight and the bulkiness is a huge issue there sadly. I'm more into hiking than just camping in one spot. It'll also soak up the snow/rain and get even heavier. I can find no...

Searching for an insulated sleeping mat (NOT inflatable!)

On my most recent trip my Klymit Static V failed me once again and died almost immediately on my first of 4 nights. This made me realize that not using an inflatable mat is actually not that uncomfortable, so now I'm looking for a proper insulated and not inflatable pad that can accompany me...

    Tent recomendation.

Convince her to not need any space in the tent and then the Dutch army bivvy would suffice ;)

    Dutch army bivvy upgrade

I just received the z grade bivvy. I must say I'm surprised by how good the fabric still is. The zippers, of course, were all broken (except for the small one on top) If anyone's looking for a cheap single hooped bivvy, I'd recommend this one. You can probably fix the zippers for a few euros...

    Pajamas

I tend to wear synthetic shirts that dry very quickly

    Pajamas

I use the clothing I wore during the day (minus my pants), especially if it is wet, so that it can dry overnight. Socks I take off and stuff in my pockets or if they're wet I use them as "gloves" so they can also dry overnight. In the winter I SOMETIMES use thin jogging pants from Decathlon...

    Dutch Army Hooped Bivi Bag

With your height, 100% go for the XL. I'm 185cm and with the L I can just about fit a 40L backpack at the end but anything larger just wouldn't fit. I've already ordered a broken bivvy to salvage its fabric to possibly extend my current one.

    Which folding saw?

Which Silky did you get? The Gomboy has a lock as well.

    Which folding saw?

I've got the Silky Gomboy and I can't say anything bad about it. The grip is nice and it saws extremely well. The only downside is possibly that (at least in my case) it came with a bulky plastic case. I would have preferred a fabric case, which I ended up making myself anyways.

    Bulletproof vs lightweight

I would add stealth camping and hiking on lesser used (and thus overgrown) trails to this. Brambles and ilex aquifolium (not sure what the English name of these are) are quite common here, and I've had equipment of friends fail on multiple occasions because they weren't durable at all. I also...

    Bulletproof vs lightweight

But it's a botch to carry. Aluminium does it for me. My 1L pot weighs less than my stove itself.

    Bulletproof vs lightweight

Depends on what you're going to be doing. Multiple days of hiking? Get something more lightweight. Bushcraft/camping where you're basically in the same spot all day? Get something bulletproof. Personally I just take less gear rather than lighter gear when I'm hiking, because I don't like the...

    Dutch army bivvy upgrade

This actually seems excellent. Listing states that the fabric is grade 1, but the zippers are broken (very common issue on FECSA). Will also give me enough fabric to extend the length of my bag, if I ever want to do that. I've been thinking about adding a third pole similarly to the Summit...
