HI All, Im only curious as i dont want one
We (I) use a lot of scandinavian axes up to around the 2.5lb sizes which are great for the bushcrafting and forest work we do. But i was curious to the larger axes that are available to buy in the UK.

i worked about 15 years ago with a chap who made and sold high quality walking sticks to posh hunters and what he did was collect a lot of sticks and let them dry for 18 months (eventually you'd have lots to work with) and then he would put them into a steaming tube and start to straighten them...

Hi All, curious to see what people are using to eat from when out camping. I used to use the plastic plate and metal/enamel bowl that you would see in your local GoOutdoors etc but now I eat from the frying pan when I'm on my own and I have a metal canteen cup to use too.

Im just throwing my suggestion but please feel free to ignore because i don't know the true answer to your question; however, if i were you I would look at Ash and Maples as these are woods that my guitars are made from so i know theyre used in musical instruments just like cedar is too.
