I see a couple of people mentioning no good in cars, that is correct, they re-charge using UV light, modern car glass is designed to reduce significantly or block UV to protect the interior from fading etc.
Army TARP poles, should have a length of paracord up though the centre and tied off with a knot at outside each hole, pulling tight and locking off keeps all three together, look closely and you might find a crows foot mark on them.

I too had rust stains from the gas canistor, a circle of plastic foam did the trick (and stopped the rattles).
If it is a campingaz self sealing cart, Backpacking light do a convertor to coleman fitting for about a tenner, I've got one, useful when abroad when you can't find the normal coleman cartridges.
