Thanks alot, but im really after a camo basha, that could hopefully fit 2 people under without too much of a squeeze. i dont mind paying up to 30 or maybe 40. It doesnt have to be completely silent by any means but the one i have now you can hear a mile away....nearly!

Hey, I'm looking to get a new basha/tarp, especialy seen as its gettin warm. I have one but its a bad material so its noisey and heavy! Im hoping to spend as little as possible, but want something light, waterproof and big enough to fit me under being 6'1 Any recomendations or tarps you...

Yeah as said below, longer slower strike would help (they need to be pretty firm strikes). Also if you have no pre-tinder, rub the dead grass against itself to make a fine dusty grass in the middle, always works a treat for me :) thanks for the video

I mean just for like opening and closing, dont they have quite a bit bigger door? i was thinking that if the rain is blowing in the wrong direction you could have a very went sleep? even if it is only opened for a minute? :confused:

I have ordered the therm-a-rest ultralight regular. 50 squids was a bargain! About the moisture someone mentioned when blowing it up...how much do they self inflate? Would you need to help it along most of the time? cheers, bunn

I heard about this today aswell. Came with my 'climber' magazine. Ill be going to check out some tents, climbing equiptment and hopefully plenty of bushcrafty things! And ofcourse the legend of ray mears... :rolleyes:

On impulse I bought the jetboil! i saw it through that link chass_brookes put on here for just £40 or so! had to do it. That will do me for most of my trips, and may invest in a trangia in the next few weeks as a back up for when it is too cold for the gas. Thanks for all the advice, has...
