Also,forgot to say,Schenk Knives,in Idaho,USA makes some great knives. I have their "Cochise"knife designed by David Holliday,an instructor specializing in the desert South West. The blade is a little longer than my palm is wide,but I would not feel "underknifed"if it were my only blade.

I know knives,like opinions abound within these forums. Here in the North East,USA I found a maker in New York State, Adventure Sworn, and he makes some fantastic knives. I have two of his,the Classic,a woodlore clone,and his Guide,a Nessmuk styled full tang. A little pricey but each a lifetime...

Another book that is very good imo,is Cache Lake Country by John Rowlands. It does talk some of knives and axes and such but it is so much more.I can't put it into words,if you like woodcraft check it out.

Has any one tried making a knife from an Enzo kit? I saw them on Ben's Backwoods site,seems like they would be a good weekend project. Would only have to choose between o-1 or a-2 steel and a wood or micarta handle. Any feedback would be great. Regards, Blackwolf1
