    Woodsmoke Woodlander Course

Top review and I think he's got it spot on (apart from the nettles, I couldn;t feel my hands for days). All these memories, I might look into doing the next course myself.

    some woodsmoke pictures.

My course was around may/june if i remember, I was on the woodlander course. The lad 4th from bottom, is on this site im sure, very knowledgable chap. Its amazing how much you learn on the course and also how many 'non bushcraft' situations that you can use your skills and attitudes learned...

    some woodsmoke pictures.

Ive finally got around to putting up some pictures from my Woodsmoke course earlier in the year. Link here. Some just of the lads, but a lot of building shelters and flora etc. Brings back a lot of good memories for me too. Who can name all the plants/trees/grubs?

    Bushy knife for sale

Ash has made me a knife with this blade, but longer, the 115 blade. Im really liking it, its a good thickness and plenty of length for splitting wood, The normal frost blades can bend a stupid amount and just bounce back, these should be better id imagine.

    Bramble twine?

when you start your cord, dont have both strands at the same length, have one 1/3rd the length of the other, when the short one runs out, use a new strand...continue ;) also, try and use strands of similar lengths/thickness's. Cut or burn off frays when string is finished...Carefully!

    Urban Fatigue.

In answer to your question, god yes! I have a stressful life, but I DO eat well, esp since becoming a diabetic. I am lucky in that my place of work is right on the edge of the city so I can and generally do go for a couple of mile walk at lunchtime. The afternoons are so much better for it...

Well then, the wife and kids are off to the in-laws for a week in August. Where do you recommend myself and a freind go for an international bushcrafty week. Somewhere european id assume, and also what laws/considerations do we need to adhere to?
