wax lining?

howdi folks

i have got some swedish army water bottles that i really like but the water them starts to taste a bit funny after a few hours. they had a little bit of oxidising in them which i cleaned out buy spinning then around with ballast in them, there still a little funky tasting.

i was thinking of lining them with bee's wax what do you all think?

Don't see why not. Have you tried Miltons fluid to clean it out?

Yes I use Miltons to clean bladders. Is bicarbonate of soda another alternative?

Try a dishwasher tablet and hot water, leave it to stand overnight and then swill it out well, does the trick for my stainless flasks.

thanks chaps will try your suggestions before i start messing with wax. will try the milton first ive got a load for home brew stuff, dont know why i didnt think of that first lol.

Wax should work, but inevitably you will occasionally swallow a flake of it.
