Advice needed please- long-term survival diet

I used to manage a wetland reserve around 4sq miles. Ok it doesn't sound a lot but on foot it was quite large along with a small spruce plantation added in along with birch oak ash woodland. It was fairly diverse with 3 lakes and 2 moderate streams. Species such as water fowl (grey lags and...

First carp of the year.... :)

The close dates area for running water I believe so any stocked still waters should be fine to fish still.

Not the only one who uses a boot :). Congratulations on the first of the year. The first fish looks like a chub to me but could be its position in the net.

Rather than starting a new thread has anyone had a pair of the steel toe capped muckboots? If so how much do you rate them?

Gransfors Bruk Double Bit Axe Failure

You can do an easy temper by making a outdoor fire then resting the axe in the ashes for an hour while keeping a small fire going on top of the ashes. Wrap the handle in tinfoil the best you can.

Gransfors Bruk Double Bit Axe Failure

They do sometimes suffer from heat treat issues just one of them things with metal unfortunately. I've seen it a couple of times before with GB but they are excellent in handling the warranty.

Looking good what woods are using for the handle? Only thing I would of changed is to have the tang in the middle rather than the top if your fitting a brass bolster it might show abit of a gap.

    Day Out Morning Bimble

Your secret is safe with me. Its amazing how many sites look similar but you can still remember the differences. Along with trout fry it holds a few pleasant surprises in there. We Had 210 sites to complete I must of been on 130 of them.
