I made a rather delicious frittata for dinner, but I was a little heavy handed with the chilli flakes. This gave my gums and lips a not entirely unpleasant burning / tingling sensation. The damage was done though, when I was relaxing afterwards and had a glass of Clontarf single malt Irish whiskey. The combination of the chilli and the whiskey have a similar effect to novacaine, and now it feels like my mouth has disappeared.
