Thanks Dave.

OK
Now I’m on the hook :lmao:

Let’s see if this works.

Little multitool. Unused and still in its packaging. Slightly dusty. I’d rather not take it out for photographs but will if anyone is practically interested.

Takes standard 1/4” screwdriver bits.

AND
It has the usual “free” True Utility big split ring!!!!

If you don’t have an edc pry bar then you can leave your shame behind in style.

There is already a miniature screw gate carabiner and a big split ring in the packaging.
I am adding another screw gate link big enough for a normal trouser belt to pass through.

A small snap shackle to clip to it.

I have received some very enjoyable and still useful gifts posted here.

I want to make my point before my offer hangs and it reads like a whinge - it isn’t.

The thread has always had gaps between runs of quick exchanges but I cannot help feeling that in the last year or so there have been more pauses than runs. That’s not a particular problem.

There has been nothing wrong with the gifts on offer but I feel that some of the acceptances have been more to end a long pause and keep the thread running than a desire for the gift in question. That in itself isn’t a problem.

I am aware that a few donors whose gifts have not been taken up for a while have found themselves somewhat stressed until someone accepts their gift. If correct then that is a problem.

No one should feel stressed about opening Bushcraft UK.

I am not one of those people.

My offer is what it is. As from today I shall not alter it neither shall I bump it.

One of several things could happen:

Someone really wants the offer and the thread rolls on.

Someone takes the offer in order to keep the thread moving - a sort of “Oh, go on then.” and the thread limps on.

We all simply recognise that the thread is of intermittent interest and wait out acceptances.

No one accepts the offer and the thread goes dormant.

Other possibilities:

Someone other than the current donor steps in and makes another offer which just happens to be more acceptable in the moment. In my view, this would not be a criticism of the current offer. I can say this perfectly happily as I am the current donor.

Dormancy becomes demise.

Something else from someone more imaginative than me.

Next lot for this: A really handy Freekey system which makes getting keys/tools on and off your keyring nice and easy without tools/nail breakage whilst also being secure, a keyring double carabiner, pocket hanger clip with bottle opener and hex nut tool, Swiss tech keyring 4x screwdriver set, and a dark green chunky lanyard with reflective thread.

What thickness?
The veg one is a couple of mm at least, the other is lighter stuff, I think be good for a wallet or a pouch - I made a tinder pouch with it and a sheath by gluing two layers together. The first is a dark colour from what ever process the Moroccans use for tanning, it takes wax well, made a handsome fire mat and a couple of other simple projects.

The veg leather is 2-3 mm thick, it’s not machined so a bit variable, with a nice satisfying patina. The other is thinner, sheep skin I think.
