I saw a comment from someone about them not supporting other makers batteries so they withdrew from the kickstarter. Is that more specialist batteries?

They’re like Apple with their Lightning chargers.
There are a ton of multi-chargers chargers out there that’ll show capacity, charge rate, discharge rate etc and accept anything from an Energiser AAA to a big 26650 lithium ion.

Amazon own brand Alkalines are on offer and the cheapest they've been all year. I like Amazon for Alkalines as they have a really long shelf life (10 years often)

I use Eneloop rechargeables (NiMH) in many things. The problem is that they are actually 1.2V not 1.5V & so certain devices simply will not work properly with them
I couldnt find an option with wire clips. I bought the 16 cm . it came with plastic but you can make those clips very easy and I will make some for it. Link below

Just a heads up for a Laser 2000 dehydrator on Ebay. I know these are popular here and mine is running non-stop at the moment dealing with the apple crop. I was tempted to get this one and upgrade to 15 trays but I think that would be pushing it a bit.
Wurkkos are clearing a load of stock in their flash sale. One of these in the 4000K warmer tint arrived today, total cost was about £13.50. With battery and usb charging port, these are really handy little lights. 4000K only available in black now.

You'll be pleased I'm sure. I run mine on a Vapcell F15 1500mAh battery, nearly twice the capacity of the included Wurkkos 850mAh. Makes it a very reliable long running torch for a weekend away.

Not all batteries are created equal, i just got a1800mah battery for my rcr123 1000lm powered mini torch, and its dimmer on turbo than my nitcore which is rated 350lumens....so im thinking either the max current is limited, or the origibal manufacturer of the torch overstated the lumens....its my 3rd cheap torch that has developed parasitic drain, so unless i unscrew the cap, its drained in less than a day....just word of caution regarding batteries and cheap torches, wurkoss, like sofirn and nitecore are good brands tho ( i think sofirn owns wurkos?)
The Vapcells are tested and definitely are 1500mAh, but they won’t run torches on turbo for long because they can’t deliver the higher amps needed. For that I’d use a Vapcell H10. But, both the Wurkkos Ts10 and HD10 have a habit of burning out the LED on turbo.
What’s the brand of your RCR123? 1800mAh is overstated, they aren’t big enough to hold that and it’s more likely around 850-1000.
2 companies stand out for batteries. Fogstar and Ecolux. Both list honest capacities, batch test their batteries, and can advise on amp draw.
