This is my Marlin 1894 Lever Gun.

I think I'd really like to give it a nice authentic Leather Scabbard to be in keeping with the heritage of the firearm.

My Main question to any prospective Leather workers out there is as its a Firearm , obviously a highly restricted item - could you make a scabbard remotely? based on various measured specs and provision of dimensions?

By scabbard I mean this :-

So , can leatherworkers make things based upon measurements alone? As this is a scabbard the margin of tolerance isn't tight as it must draw freely.

Anyone want to chip in with ideas. Thanks.

EDIT:- Unless of course if there is a South West leather worker I can bring the Carbine to whilst they work and measure it.
