I know that some folks like nice tools and nice things. Why? Well just because. It's a hard thing to explain.

So, a nice wee thing to have that reeks of quality.

A little bit heavy for those cutting weight but excellent for making tinder from dry branches and so much nicer than a plastic one.

It partly at least the brass...everything just looks better in brass (or brass, leather and polished wood)

"Pencil sharpener porn"...................What an utterly unlikely phrase! I've just bought one of these 'cause they are, as the OP remarks, a "Cool Tool", but I suspect that the "porn" phrase had something to do with it!
 
Ahhh but you know how it is Mac....a really good boxwood and brass ruler can make me come over all unnecessary!
 
You are so right, Hugh; Brass, Polished leather and Good Wood................Now these really are porn!, but very classy porn.
