There's also this sort of tarp clip which are better than Clingons IMO. They're not restricted to edge use, less likely to chew the edge of your tarp and can also be secured by the middle part for a suspension support, eg, as a lifter.

I've not seen those before. They look interesting. I wonder how much they will hold? I've never had any problem with the Clingon type clips chewing material, and find them very useful. They get used to clip two bits of cloth together, such as when closing a tarp around a hammock to keep out wind.
