My interest with nature and the countryside started in my youth as my first position was as a Gamekeeper. I still remain a keen sportsman and I combine my interest in keeping traditional country skills alive with sourcing traditional recipes using country fare where possible.  Being an Instructor with Wilderness Pioneers, I regularly teach general bushcraft skills going back to paelo/ancient techniques.
I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with the Iban tribesmen in the jungles of Borneo and the San Bushmen of the Namibian Kalahari Desert.

I joined BCUK in 2004 and have enjoyed every minute of it, so much so I became a moderator.
