You never know what you'll come across

The wife and I went to the Midlands Game fair and decided to make a weekend of it.

On the campsite, besides Mentalnurse, Andywinkk and Singeblister we came across this little beauty.

A 3 year old female Harris Hawk. She belonged to one of the other campers who also was going to the game fair but not showing her as he was training her for hunting rather than show. He was rather happy as the farmer had just given him permission to come and hunt it on his farm any time he liked.

Stunning creatures to watch aren't they, a pal of mine has a couple for hunting.

They are amazing to watch at shows as well though, the Yorkshire Dales Falconry centre is worth a visit if ever up this way.
