Managed to score some nice yew logs the other day, nothing big, but great for spoons

cheers chaps, the spine is there to add strength to the neck of the spoon in the plane that faces the most stress, but also by adding that it allows a very narrow and more graceful neck to be carved.

I carved my second spoon today out of Birch and I was very pleased, until I saw your spoons. My work looks like pittance now.

Only if ingested, the berries are good to eat though. If a spoon is sealed with oil, and well seasoned then it's fine to use.

Excellent spoons, beauty and function perfectly balanced.
