I've got loads of Yellow Sorrel (oxalis corniculata) growing as weeds in my garden, and my question is - Can I eat it in the same way as I enjoy nibbling on the odd bit of Wood Sorrel (o. acetosella)?

Thanks for the replies! I'll go and have a nibble knowing it ought not to kill me.
Urban X - that was a very interesting website, I've added that to my list of favourites.
Thanks again!

Fill your boots - great in salads with other leaves (try v young dandelion leaves and just-opening beech leaves at this time of year). However, don't eat massive amounts as it contains oxalic compounds which won't do you any good in high doses; however, despite the warnings, it'd take you ages to collect enough to do yourself any harm as it's such as small plant!
