I'm looking for a decent wool blanket to add to my sleep system.
Which one would you recomend I get. I know there are quite a few of the military ones from Europe and further East.

Let me know what you find while going through stuff. The re enactors one could be a little light weight.

You moving far or staying local.
Only yourself to blame for collecting it all.

Good to see you back on here too.

I have a large Endicotts Dutch blanket and a smaller ebay 'east European' blanket. They seem the same quality but the Dutch is thicker hence heavy, both itch my bare skin and I have my smaller one drying on the Bannister after washing and leaving to soak overnight in fabric conditioner which half dry has softened it somewhat but still feels itchy, I guess my skin is super sensitive to wool?

Have a look at a Belgian Army ones - brilliant. You can sometimes get these easier than the Dutch ones. I've had both - kept the Belgian. Military Mart sometimes have them in - no connection etc. Cheers.
