That is a bargain price for a ventile SAS windproof, shame there only available in small and medium

You know, at that price I could actually afford the exchange rate. And I'm definately a small to medium size. In Canadian dollars that comes out to $114.418

They only have 38" short size left. The sleeves are really quite short on it, but it is a bargain, and the best thing is that it is ventile DPM!!!

It may be worth getting in touch with them and asking what weight the ventile is. Survival aids used to sell Ventile SAS windproofs IIRC they were quite a light grade, but it would be better to check.

Thanks for the heads up Woodcutter. Mine arrived today and I shall be giving it a good test in this rainy weather soon . I agree that it is a bit short in the arm but for £50 I can live with that. I'll try to do a review of it in the near future if any one is interested.

Off topic here, but it looks as though I'm getting another free of charge cotton smock. There's an old guy in one of my classes who wants to get rid of an smock that he's had laying around since he left the military. If or when I get a hold of it, provided that its in decent condition I'll be sure to post some pictures of it.

Find a local seamstress/dressmaker, I had sleeves extended with cuffs from an old fleeze I had. Cost me a couple of quid.
