My old baccy pouch has died, so i have just knocked up a new one from some 2mm leather i had knocking around.
The leather seems a tad dry and i was thinking of treating the outside but oil might go through and taint the contents, beeswax??
Cheers

Leave the leather, or treat with neatsfoot oil. Make an inner pouch from linen and use beeswax and parafin (50/50) and paint it on the outside of the inner bag with this. If you beeswax the leather it'll go rock hard. On the other hand, an inner bag treated with beeswax and parafin will be a bit like a barbour jacket - waterproof but still flexible. The smell of the tobacco will soon overpower the parafin smell.
