Summer's Here

Saw my first Swallow yesterday, and a few Willow Warblers just in. Exactly the same date as last year.
Also saw a pair of Common Sandpipers on a local reservoir.
Most of all I am pleased to find this nest in the garden - she is sitting tight and just watches as we pass by.

Hurrah, nice afternoon down the local pub overlooking a clear little brook. Spring HAS arrived.

Wow what a day! An absolute explosion of green stuff! Had a good old nibble on hawthorn flower and leaves, goosegrass and dandelion leaves today while doing a bit of gardening. Love the summer
