it's looks like a monkey's fist and a portuguese flat sennet. fairly easy to tie - i have one tied around my staff, exept mine starts with a turks head around the staff.

I made one today - some of the "links" aren't the same size, but I'm chuffed with it.
Where do you get the buckles from? I've had to tie mine closed.
