Welcome aboard matey. So know what you mean about being here only five mins and already costing you cash. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I'm here sometimes. One thing I will say is your willpower to resist buying is only as strong as your ability to justify buying more stuff you already have three of. It has to be said though, making your some of your own kit is rather satisfying.
