So had a bad start to the day and bit off more than I could chew.
Bottom line is I did not get to the wood before I had to turn round.

The route I took was dictated by parking!!
So parked at Strathcarron train station walked to Achintee
Followed the track to Bendronaig Lodge.
2 hours of walking got me to NG994386
Rough calculation 45min could had had me at the river,
weather I could hav crossed to the woods this time of year???

It is, was also some deer about. I will get to see this wood. But like I said parking is the issue. Will try from Killilan NG94 30 I'm guessing this trip is not planed for the winter. I'm going to look a some wood near me as well.

No, it's planned for may/june. Just when the fishing starts getting good, food plentiful, weather niceish, not too many midges.
