Making a pack frame sheet?

I picked up a cheap Camelbak Talon pack yesterday, the only problem is the frame sheet is missing.
Does anyone have any ideas on a cheap DIY solution please?

Two solutions I've used in the past for exactly this problem, both of which have been very successful and both of which are dual use; a large poly chopping board, cut easily to size, works very well for a stiff back and provides you with - guess what? - a chopping board!

The other thing I've used is a piece of that very high density foam they use under laminate flooring; weighs nothing and gives you a good sit-pad when you need one.

In Camelbak they usually use a HDPE sheet 2 - 3mm.
