Hello all,

Am looking for a decent condition German Army folding mat (the one which fits inside the mountain packs).

Ideally looking for a recently manufactured example (ie 2000s). From my understanding they are usually dated.

All the best,
Cameron

You can get one here;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original...044827?hash=item5452b8065b:g:MtcAAOSwZqZaFFTl

Personally i'd get a better mat however, the German ones are far too thin imo.

Thanks for the link, I had seen them up with Epic but I have had some bad experiences with there surplus stuff in the past so I thought I would see what the forum had to offer.

As for being thin, I usually just use a ground sheet with a wool blanket so I don't really mind to be honest.:)

You can get the British version here for £18;

Also have you considered getting a self inflating mat? you can find the issue 3/4 length mat for about £20 online in new condition, it'll fold nicely when the air is taken out of it and will likely be smaller but also more comfortable + insulating than the German mat. I use one and keep the foot of my bag in the top of my pack.
