Ok thinking of making a base camp firebox so that I am not restricted to fires in the dug firepit that we have.
Got an oil drum so was thinking of cutting the bottom off one and finding a way of suspending it off the ground.
So question how high off the ground to stop the ground being damaged? Plus how high the sides? 3" 6" etc?
Ive searched but most are collapsable.

Was thinking of some angle iron legs really so it can be packed flat. Thanks for the suggestion phones playing up so can't open the link.

That looks like a quality bit of kit so it does.How much though Jim.(Night Owl).

Won't be as heavy duty as it's an oil drum I'll be using just got work out how high off the ground and how to suspend it. Looks like Gary uses little t shaped pegs?
Any changes to the design if you made it again Gary?
