My cousin was up at aviemore at the weekend and took this pic, i thought it was real good so wanted to share.

What kind of deer is it ?

Looks like a Red to me

Certainly a red, but its' head looks a bit white to me. Maybe it is similar to the white stag seen recently but not full blown white.

How do you guys know its a red ?

Antler formation is the easiest, if you are interested in learning to identify the diferent species then www.bds.org.uk is a good starting point and well worth a look up.
