Here we have for sale a newly completed small carving axe.
The head is an old Kent Pattern from around 1900 and has been fitted on a seasoned English Ash handle. The handle has been offset slightly to the right to allow ease of use when carving (the offset is hard to see from the images but I assure you it is there
).
Was originally an 'order' for a friend of mine who does talks as an Edwardian bodger and wanted a rustic looking axe, but he changed his mind without telling me...
Anyway, was finished by scorching and roughing up the handle to give it an older feel and look. I personally think it came out rather well.

Total length: 30cm
Head length: 15.5cm
Cutting edge: 10cm
Total weight: 1.5lbs
Comes sharp and ready to use.
