Camelia oil

Any tips on removing resin from knife blades? Will camelia oil do the trick?

To clean my blade i use a natural degreaser. I get mine from Halfords from the bike hut from the chain cleaner section. Gets everything off.

As far as i'm aware camelia oil is for protecting the blade rather than cleaning it.

Might be mistaken though.

Meths on a kitchen towel cleans it off.
