Camcorder Wildlife & Cross Country Skiing

Hi,

I have been lucky enough to move to the middle of the Bavarian Forest in Germany, which is the largest untouched forest in Europe, I have gone from sitting behind a desk in front of a computer 24x7 to having all sorts of nature and in the winter cross country skiing on my door step.

I am looking for a camcorder that has a reasonable night mode, which would be okay for wildlife shots we have bears and lynx in the area, and also for taking shots in snow like for cross country skiing.

I wonder if anyone could recommend a camcorder not to priccey suitable for this ?
