Axe Storage

So at the moment i store my axes lying flat next to each other in a metal case - but this isn't very efficient on space.

what every ones opinion on the best way to store them?

is it OK to store them standing on their head with the handle facing upwards leaning against each other??

That's the way we always stored them on the farm, leaning in a corner of the shed. They lasted for generations.

Same here, in the corner of the workshop or basicaly where ever i left it last

I either hang mine on a nail if its been oiled or stand in the corner if not,

I used to use a rolypoly dump bag for spent axes, but found after a few where in there it bumped annoyingly against my leg when chasing redcoats,

Belt fed with disintegrating link axes are the way ahead
