I always thought the trangia set was a bit bulky for a solo guy like myself, unless i have some oversized version or something?
I've used my hobo stove a few times and quite like that but it's not always practical when you don't have any natural fuel.
I decided to spend it on a new cooking setup.
I've been using either a Campingaz Bleuet Micro Plus / open fire and a solo pan set from i think Wilkinson years ago.
The pan set is pretty good as it has a frying pan with a brass bottom and lid and a little cooking dish with lid. It all fit's...
I don't actually have a "better half" haha thanks for the suggestions tho.
I didn't buy anything yet but i do like the look of those SAK's never had one!
Burning a hole in my pocket!
I've got pretty much everything i need, tarp/tent, sharps, sleeping, cooking etc etc.......all tried and tested.
I just wanna buy something new, any suggestions?
Thanks
Thanks for the info so far guys!
I don't really intend on travelling for long distances, just finding a nice spot, setting up camp and fishing for a fews days.

Hi
Just a quick one, as the flights are really cheap to Oslo I've been looking at going to Norway for a short break.

what will the weather be like...
Ivan

I don't mind travelling to locations through the week but don't want to walk more that 15 mile a day.
Cheers

Scotland (Cairngorms) was another option but the train journey is looking rather expensive...
I've had the jacket (Montt 3 in 1) for a few days now and i have to say it is one of the best garments of clothing i have ever purchased! I have worn it everyday and it's very comfortable and very well made, it was wet, windy and cold this morning (5°C) and i only had a cold face and hands as...
After doing a bit more research i went for the Montt 3 in 1 in dark olive, http://www.fjallraven.com/outdoor-equipment/jackets/montt-3-in-1-hydratic-jacket this is G1000 and Hydratic so very breathable, warm and tough. For years i was using British army issue dpm Goretex jacket and trousers with...
