Zebra billy cans

Do not know if anyone else has tried this but i recently took the handles off my 10cm and 12cm Zebra Billy cans and only realized tonight they nest together nicely!

Here is a pic of the 10cm in the 12cm.

Yup, use cut sections of brass tube instead of those chocy block innards for a stronger fix.

Hmm, how much stronger would it be? Also will the choc block fixings hold or are they unreliable?

Unreiable in my experiance, they slip, the tube is crimped ove done it to my 12cm, and 16cm Billy, both hold a full can of water. And have done for a good while.

What thickness of brass tube are you using and do you have a link by any chance?

B and q do it eter engths, 6mm outside diameter I use it for lanyard holes too, use a set of molegrips to flatten it, then squash it down with an Allan key across the wires and tube to crimp it, I can do some pics tomorrow if you like chap.

Just a thought but if you get an industrial food can - got mine (actually got about 8 which originally held beetroot) from local Harvester resteraunt, using the same process will make a very cheap billy similar in size to the 16CM Zebra

Here you go matey,

the first crimp, put an allen key either side to form the crimp,

routed like this it sits flat against the billy,

Like so,

second crimp a 90 degrees to the first,
