Wood millet.
We've got a fair amount of this around here,
http://www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Milium+effusum
http://www.ecoflora.co.uk/search_species2.php?plant_no=1931020010
The tiny seeds look like miniature linseeds and taste quite pleasant. I know it as one of the old famine foods; does any one else know of it? use it?
This indigenous plant is an indicator species for ancient woodlands and there's a golden variety that's suggested for gardens nowadays too.
Cheers,
Toddy
