Ok I admit it i'm usless! - I'm sure I have seen a link to a website that shows all sorts of wood types in their cut / prossesed form - (in fact it may be worse as I have an feeling it was me that posted it :o )

Now i've searched till i can't think of any other keywords without any joy - so is there anyone that can help me??

to clarify it is NOT for identifying trees it is lots of piccies of different woods cut up - i'm trying to identify some possible knife scale material i have been given!

ok here goes!

timber
lumber
cut
rough/ly cut
hard/soft wood
planed
un/treated
furniture
knotted
un/sanded
brushwood
fruit wood

any use? :)
