Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
As Harvestman wrote in his blog, we had a great day out with the orchids ... and the bees, spiders, swallows, buzzard and much more. And the carving was very good for me too - I've now nearly completed my first greenwood spoon, here it is ...

I did a bit more to the spoon last night but as I've not yet got my own crook-knife I can't do much more to the bowl. I did work the bowl a bit with my knife and a bit of sanding. I really like the shape the handle took on and the bowl has come out fairly well in the shape I'd hoped for. For my first attempt I'm quite pleased. I hope I'll have my crook-knife by the end of the week so may be able to finish over the w/end. And many, many thanks to Harvestman for his help and tuition, I learned a lot :)

Hey, that has come out quite nicely. The bowl shape looks really elegant.

It was a really nice day, and all the better for the excellent company
