North of the southern wall.
The father in law goes wild camping on such occasions and I was invited along, I wasn't sure if it would happen tbh as the weather was like it is usually in our area (cruddy). Enroute to the pick up point(car park) we had an encounter with a small lake blocking the road, I wish I was Moses, but a Fiat Qubo doing 60 and suddenly having to brake, (having come around a corner to be confronted with the sea not yet parted) did just as good a job :pirate: Unfortunately within a mile of that another car seems to have tried the same thing but ended up on its roof with x2 cop cars in attendance......
Twas a few days before a certain hijacked holiday/festival and all was dark, windy, rainy and up hill all the soddin way:hatscarf: so no pics before making camp. We were intending on a mostly enclosed sheep fold but we didn't have a :canoe: so opted for the hotel next door ;).
A few mugs of booze later, with more wind rain and snow thrown in, we retired to the accomodation.
Having woken up with a sore head and not enough wood left for the hausages, we buggered off home in the wind, rain, and snow.

Nice one! Well done for not getting the hell out of there, looks very much like the hotel! On Dartmoor, only our walls are not so neat are full of holes and therefore draughty!

Thanks for posting, tis all good for the soul.
