May try and get myself out and do a bit of foraging. are the sweet chestnuts out aroun your area?

I know, I need to get out in the woods, but this week the sewing machine is getting some serious use. Next week tho I'm taking a couple of days out to play - got a couple of autumn recipes I want to try.

I can never get my head round weaving baskets. Its something i've wanted to do properly for ages. Nice collection of wild food, looks like you could turn that into a good woodland brew

So what are they all for us bushcraft newbies?

top left are elderberrys, small blackish purple berries quite sweet, next to them are haws (berrys of hawthorne) below those are rose hips and sloe (s?), I think. Bottom right are crab apples which are sharp unless cooked some how. but I'm not sure about top right and bottom left.

Thought top right was rowan but looked too red, never heard of the other but guessed they were related to rose hips - you learn something every day! Thankyou very much.
